The Fair Carbon blue carbon project map allows easy discovery of publicly registered blue carbon projects across multiple voluntary carbon market registries.

Projects in development, undergoing validation and fully accredited are all shown. Pre-registration and concept stage sites are omitted unless the project proponent specifically requests inclusion.

To use this map: click on "View larger map", scroll to the project you are interested in and click on the project pin to view publicly available project information.

Where possible, links to credit retail outlets are provided. Fair Carbon does not monitor which projects currently have credits available for sale.

Blue carbon projects in all relevant ecosystems are included. There is currently one seagrass project registered as "under development." Only mangrove projects have been successfully validated and verified to date.

We manually scan the Plan Vivo, Verra, and Markit registries for updates. Project managers using other standards may register their sites for inclusion on our map by contacting the Fair Carbon team. If your project needs updating, please reach us at info@faircarbon.org.
